My Top 3 Photos of 2022

Lookig back at 2022 just before I moved to London. These are my top 5 photos. (Not in particular order)

1. Jennifuah in the lift — Bangkok, 2022

This shoot took place in one of those perfectly imperfect spaces, a small elevator with deep wood panels and warm, moody light. I had a pleasure to shoot with Jennifer Fredlin from Netflix’s series “Supermodel Me” back in 2022.

What I love most about this frame is how the colour palette, purples, blues, and browns feels retro but refined, embracing the textures of 1970s interior design.

For me, this portrait sums up what  a simple interior design can do so much for your shoot.

2. One of my first shoot in London — London,  2022

This is one of my first photo shoot in London. The photo is very contrasty not just in lighting, but in emotion. Now it was abit diffcult at first to put together a full team when it’s my second week in the city but we manage to pull through. The styling that Nicole had put together a combination of glossy black fabric, sheer patterned tights, and the green plants in the background gave the frame a strong visual rhythm.

I used a hard flash setup here to bring out a sharper, editorial edge  but with a modern minimalism. The direct gaze of the model, the static pose, and the clean daylight filtering through the window made it feel both intimate and unapologetically bold.

3. Gigi & Ariel — Bangkok, 2022

Shot on Kodak 400, This photo was quite spontaneous when we were just chilling at one of the roof top pool in Bangkok. No large crew, no studio — just Gigi & Ariel, natural light and a fun vibe. What I love here is the energy that’s often missing in serious fashion editorials.

The image captures a rare, honest simplicity the kind of portrait photography that feels like summer nostalgia rather than a set production.
